Debbie

The Woman I Knew

Debbie was intelligent, outgoing, hardworking, creative, and a talented writer. She loved crafts and cats.

Her childhood was difficult, but there was much more to her life than those early experiences.

Our Life Together

We met in 1985 through Executive Printing. We shared our time at Horseshoe Lake, were married in 1990, and built a family together.

Debbie and ICC

Debbie was part of our business from the beginning. In 1987, at Horseshoe Lake, she created the original ICC logo. The original colours were gold and black.

Our Family

Our daughter, Nicole Germaine Monette — Nikki — was born on April 29, 1991.

Our daughter, Katrina Michele Monette — Katie — was born on June 9, 1992.

Her Struggles and Her Passing

Debbie struggled with alcohol and with migraines.

She died on November 17, 2004, at the age of 40, following an overdose of migraine medication.

Her passing is part of her story, but it is not the whole of it.
